Tour des Billes
Built at the end of the 14th century, it is enclosed within the Grosse Tour
It overlooks the former postern-gate
A watchtower, built at the end of the 14th century, it is enclosed within the Grosse Tour.
The wood (billets) used for defence were stored here.
It overlooks the former postern-gate, or Porte Belvent, which opened near the Rue des Bouchers and the "Tuerie", a slaughterhouse located above the Bouzaize in the 18th century.
As part of our guided tours, you can enter the tower and have direct access to the garden on the roof of the Grosse Tour.
The Tourism Office is close by and the "Porte Marie de Bourgogne" site is the setting for many events and exhibitions.
